4 Consumer lands on the authenticated home page where there is a Green Button link in the body and left navigation Existing authenticated landing page Green Button icon points the way to the Usage tab where the user can run Green Button reports Updated View Usage Data… Get Started… item added to the authenticated landing page for added visibility to the initiative.
5a If the consumer with multiple meters clicks on the Usage tab, she sees a Green Button link on the Left Navigation and a green ‘Export Report(s)’ button Existing Usage / My Smart Meters page If the user heads into the Usage area, she will be able to access the Green Button from Usage as well. Need to determine best way to indicate that both buttons lead to a Green Button report
5b If the consumer with 1 meter clicks on the Usage tab, she is directed to the Usage Report page. Consumer also sees the Green Button in the left nav. Existing Usage / My Smart Meters page Consumer with only 1 meter clicks on Usage and is directly taken to the Usage Reports page Updated page help to explain new considerations for Green Button Consumer is prompted to download their data in csv format if the date range specified is: Consumer is taken to the Green Button page to download data in CSV or XML format if the date range specified is: • 1 day or less for 15 minute interval data • 30 days or less for daily data • 24 months or less for monthly data • Greater than 1 day for 15 minute interval data • Greater than 30 days for daily data • Greater than 24 months for monthly data
6 Consumer with more than 1 meter clicks on Export Report(s) and consumer with 1 meter clicks on Green Button link or selects a date range beyond that for instant data download, consumer is taken to Export Report(s) editor page, a.k.a. the ‘Green Button’ page Updated page help to explain new considerations for Green Button The existing Export Report(s) editor will become the Green Button page. It will allow the user to export up to 13 months of interval usage in an XML format. Hold the current 1 day date range default, but continues to allow the user to specify up to 13 months of interval data Add an XML option to meet the Green Button requirements, but default to CSV as a choice, which is more consumer friendly and yields smaller file sizes New ability to choose Report format, either CSV or XML. Export Report(s) in CSV Export Report(s) in XML

9 After SMT has run the report, the Consumer receives an email with the report attached Existing SMT Data Request Complete email Note: XML files are approximately an order of magnitude larger than CSV files. A report for 1 ESIID x 13 months interval data is estimated to be 6.5 – 9 MB, larger than some commercial internet email services allow. This is an acknowledged risk and will be mitigated by adding page help
