Progress • Mealtime Programme • currently 10 trained volunteers on ward 9 NTGH • Wellbeing and Information Programme • currently 4 trained volunteers on wards 3 & 9 NTGH • 6 further volunteer for NTGH undergoing training • 1 volunteer for WGH undergoing training • Observational and Real Time Feedback Programme • 4 trained volunteers • 10 ward observation completed • Blog http://ageukhospitaltohome.com

Feedback • Ward staff surveys: • 100% Strongly agree - Mealtime volunteers would provide valuable support to ward staff. • 64% Strongly agreed & 32% Agreed– Wellbeing volunteers could reduce loneliness and boredom of patients. • Wellbeing Volunteers feedback sheets: • Patient recently celebrated her 90th birthday and seemed really happy to discuss it and showed me her cards. • Relative of a patient I spoke to last week thanked me for spending time which had been reported to her by patient. • First contact particularly happy to break the boredom by having our conversation. Another came to life when we looked at his scrap book. Another visitor expressed delight with this new initiative. • Conversation was particularly appreciated by lady who did not usually have visitors. • Volunteers hours = 481 Beneficiaries = 514
