  3. When you read, • Ask yourself who the story is about. • Ask yourself how the characters feel about things that happen in the story.

  10. “Sam, Come Back!” Think about the boy in the story. How does he feel about Sam? • Jack doesn’t like Sam because Sam runs away from him. 2. Jack loves his cat and wants to get him back.

  13. Think about Sam. What is he like? • He likes to have fun. • He is lazy and sleeps all the time. • He can talk.
