  2. We have great schools. ..

  3. Lakeland and Milford High schools have great new pools with water slides.

  4. We do Lego league, Science Olympiads, virtual tours, and learn about our community.

  5. We have great teachers. We learn what we need to know for when we are adults.

  6. We have great restaurants. • Highland House and Sparkies are great restaurants. They have good food like pizza, breadsticks and shrimp. The service is fantastic. We go there to eat all the time.

  7. Highland has great farms like Ruggles farm. • They grow awesome corn and asparagus. Other farms grow carrots, strawberries, pears, cherries and tomatoes. We grow all kinds of great food.

  8. Our area has lots of lakes. • They are fantastic for swimming, fishing, wake boarding, jet skiing, canoeing and water skiing. We have really nice recreational parks. They are good for picnicking, playing sports and having fun. • .

  9. Kensington Metro park is another park in our community. You can watch the deer.

  10. You can walk or play on the jungle gym.

  11. Your family could picnic or ride bikes there.

  12. They even have a petting farm.

  13. Indian Springs is another metro park in our area. You can go on a hike….

  14. Visit the nature center….

  15. or play on the playground.

  16. The Highland recreation area is a place we can go to enjoy the outdoors. A special thing you can do is rent a horse and go horseback riding.

  17. Alpine Valley is an excellent place for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding. They have races and ski teams there. Our school ski club goes there on Wednesday nights in the winter.

  18. Highland history. • Highland began as a small village where farmers brought their grain to a mill called Spring Mills then shipped it by train to other places.

  19. Highland is now a suburban/rural community, where people learn, work and play.

  20. We have a supervisor that runs the government.

  21. . . Highland Township is a marvelous place to live.
