  2. 1 Have you ever heard of a mammal called a dolphin? Well, if you haven’t, I’m here to tell you a little about them. Dolphins are mammals, not fish. They are warm-blooded like people.

  3. 2 Dolphins are highly sociable animals. They live in pods which are barely interactive with other pods. From time to time, they will communicate with others.

  4. 3 Dolphins use their powerful tail to swim. A dolphin’s tail moves in an up and down motion. They also use their tails when hunting. They hit the fish with their tail, fling the fish up in the air, stunning it, then scooping the fish up when it falls back into the water.

  5. 4 A dolphin slapping its tail on the water in the wild may be a sign of annoyance, or a warning to other dolphins of danger.The muscles in a dolphins tail are very powerful.

  6. 5 Dolphins breathe through their blowhole located at the top of their head. A dolphin may empty and refill its lungs in less than a fifth of a second.

  7. 6 Dolphins eat fish (including mullet, mackerel, herring, cod) and squid. The composition of the diet depends very much on what is available in the area they live in and also on the season.

  8. 7 Well, those are just some things about dolphins. I hope one day you will research this same topic. Or maybe visit a dolphin one day.
