  3. Ask what? • Learning from the experts: An interview with Shamus Husheer. • Consider the following: • What research methodologies did he use? • What questions was he asking? • What parallels can you draw with your idea?

  4. Action Planning • What questions do you need to answer in order to validate your business idea? • What sources of information are you going to use? • Who’s going to do it?

  5. Remember! The aim is to identify and develop a viable business opportunity.If your Initial Business Proposition seems unviable, you need to redirect your research to investigate alternative options.

  6. Assessment 1: Market Research Log • Submit a log book of all market research activities • Primary and secondary research including industry statistics and interviews • 30% of mark • Due week 4
