To start with some info. Scientific Name-Ailuropoda Melanoleuca Group they belong to-Mammals Habit/range-Live in Broad leaf and coniferous forest with a dense under story of Bamboo.
Diet A Panda’s diet is 99% bamboo. In zoo’s they eat bamboo,sugar cane,rice gruel, a special high-fliber biscuit, carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes.
Size It’s about as big as an American Black Bear. Pandas are between 2-3 feet tall at the shoulder (on all four legs).They can grow about 4-6 feet tall.Males weigh about 250lbs. And females weigh about 220lbs. The males are the largest of the pandas.
More facts There are about 1,600 panda’s left. They are endangered because of Poachers
Interesting Facts They are one of the most endangered animals. You can only find the Panda in China.They eat about 40 lbs. of bamboo a day.
