  3. SRFB 2008 • SRFB sets a target allocation for the Puget Sound region – WRIA 8 $450,000 • Salmon Recovery Lead Entities follow traditional SRFB process • WRIA 8 projects submitted to Puget Sound Partnership and SRFB.

Timeline April Application materials available May Pre- proposals due to LE Coordinator May/June Project site visit July 17 Salmon Recovery Council reviews recommendations August LE forwards recommended projects to Puget Sound Partnership/SRFB October SRFB Review Panel December Grant Decisions

  5. 3- Year Work Plan A planning document that will change year-to-year based on WRIA 8 Salmon Recovery Council direction and opportunities that arise consistent with the Conservation Strategy

Guiding Principles (2006) 3-Year Work Plan • Consistent with Conservation Strategy • Sufficient number and scope to achieve 10-year plan objectives • Meet broad funding objectives • Use Plan’s prioritization efforts • Sequencing - recognize potential interactions and synergies • Projects directly linked to habitat change – focus on desired outcome of projects

  7. 2008 Update Process • Review of proposals by project proponents – 10-Year Start List and 3-Year Work Plan • Add 2007 Technical Committee letter to TRT to narrative update • Update Narrative - Hatchery and Harvest, and H-integration sections

  8. 2008 Technical Committee Review of 10-Year Start List Proposals For Comprehensive List Actions: • Strong Science Basis • Change of feasibility to HIGH • Project has a High Benefit/ High Feasibility rating but was not included in, and is consistent with, Start List • Number of projects added to Start List does not exceed projects completed

Approval of Clarification: 3 Year Work Plan is a subset of the 10-Year Work Plan. • 2006-2008 and future project additions to the 3-Year Work Plan will also be included on the 10-Year Start List. • C210 Riparian Restoration – Cedar River • M247 Salmon Bay Restoration • C235/C236 Cedar Grove Road Rainbow Bend Levee Removal/ Mobile Home Buyout • C239 Lower Lions Stream Reach Acquisition

  11. Decisions: 10-Year Start List Additions • Add Technical Committee’s update recommendations to 10-Year Start List – Tier II projects: • N386 – North Creek Regional Park Stream Channel Enhancement • N 473 – Reach 3 Kelsey Creek Fish Passage with associated N469/N470
