Three Learning Outcomes for Grades 8 and 9 History: Learning Outcome 1: Historical enquiry that will enable the learners to use enquiry skills to investigated the past and present. Learning Outcome 2: Historical knowledge and understanding that will enable the learners to demonstrate historical knowledge and understanding. Learning Outcome 3: Historical interpretation that will enable learners to interpret aspects of history.
White Paper on e-Education (2004) promotes the use of various Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) to achieve the expected learning outcomes in the different learning areas. • Because most teachers and learners are not yet computer literate, resource-based learning, supported by Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) technology, is one of the most cost-effective and self-contained educational mediums that involves minimal infrastructural investment. • Web-Based Multi-Media education is necessary to become part of the Global Information Age for sustainable social development and economic growth.
