  10. FHWA Roundabout Activities 2010+ Examine state laws for possible conflicting language re: roundabouts (e.g. yielding) Examine college engineering/transportation curricula for roundabout coverage Link to state DOT and other roundabout videos on FHWA Safety website

Major Issues to Address • Public, agency, and organization (e.g. AASHTO, NACE, etc.) support • Multi-lane roundabouts • Vision-impaired pedestrians • Joint USDOJ/DOT NPRM expected in Fall 2010 • Importance of proper signing and marking • Accommodation of bicyclists • Clarify clear zone criteria for central island
