The Auto-Enrollment Process • Identify people who need to be enrolled • Assign to appropriate plan • Set effective date • Notify beneficiary • Notify assigned plan • Make assignment available to stakeholders • Have contingency plan for those missed

Example - Auto & Facilitated Process June 15th – 30th: State files come in identify full & partial duals July 12th: Pharmacist can see 4Rx billing data on E1 query July 18th: Plan sends confirmation notice to beneficiary June 19th: SSA sends SSI-only beneficiaries July 11th: CMS beneficiary notice put in mail; plan submits 4Rx data to CMS Sept 1st -- Effective date of July facilitated (FE) July 8th: TRR to Plans July 2nd -- MBD system deems for LIS July 5th: Preliminary file sent to plans, pharmacist can see plan assignment on E1 query NOTE: Auto-enrollment effective will vary July 3rd: MBD auto-assigns & facilitates assignments July 4th: MBD submits transactions to MARx system
