School Schedule A/ B DAY Schedule 7:50 – 8:00 Arrive at school, go to locker, report to homeroom. 8:00 - 8:30 Homeroom 8:30 – 9:20 Period 1 9:20 – 10:10 Period 2 10:10 – 11:00 Period 3 (A / B) 11:00 – 11:30 Lunch 11:30 – 12:15 Period 4 12:15 – 1:00 Period 5 1:00 – 1:50 Period 6 1:50-2:40 Period 7 (A /B) 2:40 Dismissal, go to locker, get on the bus.

  6. Map your first day • Circle the room numbers for periods 1 through 7 on your school schedule. • Find your room numbers on the map and write your period next to it. Don’t forget to mark periods 3 A,3 B, 7 A and 7 B. • Look for your classrooms during your tour!

What Students Need to Bring for the First Day of School • Student Schedule and Bus Number (This is available on the HCPSS website under on the homepage.) • School Map • Locker Information • One binder or folder with notebook paper • Pencil and pen • Lunch or lunch money • Sweater or sweatshirt (to layer – some rooms are colder than others) • A positive attitude!

What NOT to Bring on the First Day • Other school supplies from the School Supply list (Teachers will announce when students need supplies such as binders, journals, colored pencils, protractors, rulers, scissors, etc.) • Large amounts of money (no more than $5) • Wheeled backpacks (they don’t fit into the lockers) • Sports equipment

  9. Lockers • Students may go to their lockers • Before Homeroom • Before Lunch • After Lunch • After Dismissal (before getting on bus) • Backpacks must remain in your lockers during the school day.

  10. Locker Directions Right, Left, Right, if you want to get home tonight! • Turn RIGHT to your first number. • Turn LEFT past ZERO to your second number. • Turn RIGHT to your third number.

  11. Tour and Locker Practice Now, half of the homerooms will be given a tour of the school while the other half go to locate and practice at their lockers. Group 1 will start with locating and practicing at lockers. Group 2 will be taken on a tour of the school. After approximately ten minutes, tour students will be dropped off to practice lockers while those who have already practiced will be picked up and given the school tour. We are part of Group _____ and will start with _______. All students meet parents at lockers at approximately 1:50 p.m. for orientation dismissal (or for more locker practice).
