  2. The Fire On Fort Sumter • Early on April 12, 1861 Union Captain Abner Doubleday witnessed the attack that was shot by the Confederate Army! • Place: Charlestown , SC • Union • Was not the bloodiest battle • Yes it was a turning point in the war!

  3. War of Antietam in 1862 • The Union clashed with the Confederate army on September 17 in the Battle of Antietam! It was one of the most bloodiest wars on that day in the entire war! • Place: Sharpsburg, Maryland • Winner: Confederate • Turning point: YES!

  4. The Battle of Gettysburg • Both Union and Confederate Army met on accident on July 1, 1863
