This training program aims to provide support and guidance to University of Worcester students in their mentoring roles for outreach activities. It will enhance their confidence, understanding, and communication skills to effectively carry out the role.

Welcome to the advanced mentor training for University of Worcester students.This builds on the introductory mentor training and is designed to provide support and guidance to help you in the more complex mentoring roles you will undertake as you engage in outreach activities. www.worcester.ac.uk
The purpose of this training is to give you a greater confidence and understanding of your role as an ambassador and mentor. It will introduce you to a range of models, theories and practical skills to help you carry out the role effectively.This training will develop your mentoring abilities and will deepen and extend your communication skills www.worcester.ac.uk

The key aim of working as an advanced mentor is to engage with potential students:To help them to raise their aspirations, self belief and attainment.To improve their understanding of the HE options available to them and of the benefits of HE.To prepare them for HE so that they have a better idea of what to expect once they start their course.This will include young people from backgrounds where participation in Higher Education is low. www.worcester.ac.uk
