Appliance Efficiency: Roles we play internationally Knowledge • Draw on expertise in appliance standards in the United States, Europe, and other developed nations • Share standards to promote harmonization Awareness • Lead campaigns to increase consumer knowledge of Energy Star and Energy Guide labels on major appliances Outreach • US: assembled a broad coalition to implement efficient appliances with organizations include the US EPA, DoE, ACEEE, etc • China: assembled an innovative coalition that included the Chinese Government, other government and non-governmental organizations
