Shut Down Work 3 1. NuMI: Replace present MW118 (1 mm pitch and 25 m diameter W wire with 1 mm pitch and 12.5 m thick Ti strips). • MTA: A total of 7 multiwires will be installed in this new beamline. The last detector (MW7) will be ready for installation before the shutdown. The rest of the detectors will require modifications. The hope is to have all the multiwires ready for installation toward the end of August. Since this is a new beamline cables have to be pulled and terminal • MI8: Replace 3 old style multiwires. Refurbishing these multiwires we have to wait for the beginning of the shutdown – remove the failed assemblies, test them, and re-install them. • OTR work: Coordinate with Vic Scarpine.
