  4. Supporters painted Uhuru Park with their party’s colours They turned up in large numbers for launch of presidential campaign

  5. Draped in party T-shirts, caps and anything orange Every other time the crowd would overwhelm the security The crowds took over all the space, including the concrete area next to the dias

  6. The crowd resorted to hoisting those who wanted to leave the area high as there was no space to walk. The crowd dislocated the media from the space allocated next to the dias

  7. Several people were stretched out of the grounds after they lost their breath in the scorching sun. The otherwise peaceful crowd persevered the scorching sun as they waited

  8. Ibrahim Ahmed Yusuf popularly known as Johnny came riding on a camel and holding a hammer Dr Dan Shikanda, a former national soccer star who is eyeing the Makadara seat, entered into the grounds kicking a ball.

I call upon Kenya’s great sons, daughters, men and women to rise with courage and hope to this new beginning. Let us all be strong and of good courage without fear.
