  3. Art. 10.2 Status of the Ball Example: • After the ball has left the hands of the referee on the jump ball, but before the ball is legally tapped, jumper A5 commits a violation and the ball is awarded to team B for a throw-in. At this moment either coach requests a time-out or substitution. Interpretation: • Despite the fact that the ball has been released, the time-out or substitution shall not be granted because the game clock will not start until the ball has been legally tapped www.dublinofficials.com

  4. Uniforms • DMBB & DLBB regulations governing uniforms are in effect • All teams must be wearing the same uniform • Tops and Shorts must be of the same dominant colour but do not have to match colours Art 16: Goal: When made and its value • The game clock must indicate 0:00.3 (3 tenths of a second) or more for a player to secure possession of the ball on a throw in or on a rebound after the last or only free throw in order to attempt a shot for a field goal. • If the game clock indicates 0:00.2 or 0:00.1 the only type of valid goal is by tapping or directly dunking the ball. www.dublinofficials.com

  5. Art 17 Throw In During a throw-in, other player (s) shall not have any part of their bodies over the boundary line before the ball is thrown across the boundary line. • Once the referee has placed the ball at the disposal of a player for a throw in, no other player is permitted to complete the throw in • During the last two (2) minutes of the fourth quarter and any period of extra time after a time out taken by the team that is entitled to possession of the ball in its backcourt the throw in should be taken at the throw in line opposite the scorers table in the front court - the new throw in line Example: During a throw-in after A8 has received the ball from the official for the throw-in, he: • (a) places the ball on the floor after which the throw-in is taken by A12 • (b) hands it to A12 in the out-of-bounds area. Interpretation: • (A) and (b) are violations by A12 as he moves his body over the boundary line before the ball is thrown-in by A8, across the boundary line. www.dublinofficials.com
