Treatment Impact on Prison Admissions In-Prison Recommitment Rate At 36 months out of prison, those who completed substance abuse program treatment within 3 years of release and who had the most serious substance abuse problems are recommitted to prison at a rate 7% less than that of inmates as having the most serious substance abuse problems who did not receive treatment. *Statistics compiled by the Bureau of Research & Data Analysis 2006-07 recommitment data Florida Department of Corrections
