  4. 2.- “Status“ of Action MP0604 • Approval by CSO: 20th November 2006 • Entry into force: 18th April 2007 • Duration: 4 years, until 20th May 2011 • DC rapporteur: Sveinn Olafsson (IS) • COST-participatory parties: 18 • no signatory parties with intention to join so far • 2 NON-COST Institutions from Australia: 1)The University of Queensland 2) Australian National University

  5. COST MP0604 Signatory parties Attention: replacement at MC meetings only with prior confirmationof the COST National Coordinator!

  6. Allocated budget under FP7 June 2007- May 2008: 82.000 €

  7. Allocated budget under FP7 June 2008 - May 2009 : 94.000

  8. Preparation for Grant system • The CGS is to be implemented before the end of the year – to be confirmed • Grant Agreement – copy to MC Chair (Grant Holder’s Institution) • The procedure - in short- will be as follows (all details in Vademecum « Grant system ») :

  9. … Grant system • Pre-Payment to the Grant-Holder (65% of the grant amount); • Preliminary Financial Report after 6-9 months, then • 2nd payment to the Grant-Holder about 35%; • Annual Final Report, Final Financial Report and Scientific Report after 12 months; • DC Monitoring and COST-Office decision on the next year budget for the Action.

  10. Early Stage Researchers • For STSM, Training School instruments • PhD + 10 years maximum

  11. Conference Grant for Early Stage Reserachers • 3 per Domain • Maximum of 3000 EUR • Oral contribution – copy of abstract • Proof of acceptance of Abstract • DC MPNS decision – approval • After the conference: scientific report

  12. Reciprocal Agreements with NZ-AU • NON-COST Institutions approved by COST • STSM – same rules • As invited experts to TS, Workshops, Conferences • COST participants to NZ & AU • Separate budget not from the Action’s budget • NZ & AU Government pay for NZ & AU scientists
