  1. Building a Bridge A partnership between North Frederick Elementary and the Career & Technology Center

VISION We would be creating a bridge to the future for our students, taking into consideration, the Common Core Curriculum Standards With students, parents and teachers all on the same page and working together for shared goals, we can ensure that students make progress each year and graduate from school prepared to succeed in college and in a modern workforce.

  3. NFES & CTC Partnership An opportunity to expose students from diverse backgrounds to educational and career opportunities that connect what they are learning in the classroom to the real world

  4. STEM Education A tool for students to engage in STEM focused learning opportunities

  5. A partnership in which the students at the CTC act as mentors/role models to elementary students

  6. Making Connections Goal is to prepare the students of North Frederick Elementary School for the 21st century by making connections between education and the real world

  7. Where to Begin??

  8. Vision Moving Forward… • Extend the STEM & Core Curriculum education of all NFES grade levels, through the partnership with CTC • CTC staff & students would provide Career Fairs & Presentations on site at NFES • Field Trips to CTC programs for even more hands-on learning
