School of Science

Aalto University's School of Science offers advanced energy solutions, condensed matter physics, data science, artificial intelligence, health technology, neuroscience, and software engineering. With a focus on applied physics, computer science, industrial engineering and management, mathematics, and systems analysis, we educate 3741 degree students, including 1577 BSc, 1324 MSc, and 104 Lic. Sc. We also have 736 PhD students, with 17% being international. We offer 2 Bachelor's programs and 7 Master's programs, including 6 international double-degree programs. In 2018, we awarded 585 degrees. With 100 professors and key figures such as ERC grants, national centers of excellence, and EU flagship memberships, we are at the forefront of cutting-edge research and technological advancements. Our research contributes to new business, spin-offs, and start-ups, and we collaborate with international corporations and major companies in Finland.
