Your obligations • If time off work is required due to a work injury, you must pay 80% of your employees earnings for the first week • Any time off work must be covered by an ACC medical certificate • You must supply ACC with your employee’s earnings information so weekly compensation can be calculated
Support Return to Work • Have a rehabilitation policy • Alternative suitable duties • Communicate with your employee • Participate in ACC interventions i.e. Workplace Assessments • Ask the employee for their Medical Certificate. This will show diagnosis, restrictions, date of next review.
