Group 2-Waste Minimisation Goals: Ø Minimize wastes before it reaches the dump. Ø To prolong the life span of the Dump Ø Reduce cost involved in wastes management Ø To reduce health and environmental impacts

Group 2-Waste Minimisation Activity: Do waste stream analysis By whom: Town authority staff, UPNG, Schools, and data centralized at DEC as the lead agency. How: Questionnaires, Student research programs, School children projects By when: Preliminary data established by mid 2008 and a consolidated data by end of 2008. Data continuously updated throughout the project lifetime. Who pays: Respective town authorities, donor (SPREP/JICA) co-funding.
