Pirms 300 gadiem Gothards Fridrihs Stenders sarakstīja pirmo ābeci latviešu valodā – katram burtam uzrakstot tiem laikiem aktuālu pamācību un uzzīmējot ikustrāciju. 2014. gada pavasarī Latvijā tika izsludināts konkurss – izveidot jaunu, Mūsdienu Bilžu ābeci, 21. gasimta ābeci, izmantojot interaktīvās tāfeles. Idejai atsaucās arī Kusas tautskolas «Bilžu balsu» projekta dalībnieki. Acquaintance with the contest announced by UNESCO Latvian National Committee “Create an alphabet book”. Within the contest Latvian residents are invited to create a modern ABC book following the model of G. F. Stender’s “ABC of Pictures” - the first illustrated primer in Latvian (1787). Calligraphic letters, short instructions concerning an actual topics and illustrations are to be included in the book.

  5. Uzdevuma veikšanā vērojama liela daudzveidība. A great variety of manners can be seen in the performances.

  7. Svinot Lieldienas, tika nodziedātas dziesmas visam alfabētam. • An alphabet of songs is collectively sung during a celebration of Easter.
