All programmes have the same requirements: • Birkbeck Common Awards Scheme requires 360 credits in total at levels 4, 5 and 6 for completion of an undergraduate degree. • You will normally have taken 90 credits (3 modules) per year over 4 years OR 120 credits (4 modules) per year over 3 years. • Level 4 (foundation) modules would normally have been taken first, in years 1 or 2. • Level 5 (intermediate) modules are normally taken in years 2 or 3. • Level 6 (advanced) modules are normally taken in years 3 and 4. • You must take NO MORE than 120 CATS at level 4 and NO LESS than 120 CATS at level 6.
What to do now • Shortly you will receive an email from your Course Administrator containing an Option Choice Form and details of the options available to you. • The form will contain a drop down list of the relevant option modules for your year group. Please complete the form and return it to GEDS (geds@bbk.ac.uk) by MONDAY 23 June 2014. • Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Failure to return the form will result in your options being chosen for you. • Your MyBirkbeck profile will be updated with your module choices before the start of the 2014/15 academic year. • Further information can be found on the GEDS website under information for current students. The presentations from this evening will also be available on the GEDS website. • Please enjoy the rest of the evening and ask the tutors any questions you have.
