Steps taken by DOF Contd.. • Availability of Fertilizers during Kharif 2015 (April to August). <Figures in LMT> • All the fertilizers manufacturing companies have been asked to produce at their full capacity. • Already 5 tender for procurement of Urea for Kharif 2015 has been floated. • OMIFCO plants is producing at full capacity.

Expectations from States. • After introduction of neem coated urea, requirement should go-down. • Close coordination with suppliers and timely placement of indents with Railways. • Clear pending B1 & B2 forms, so that companies are financially sound to supply fertilizers. • Faster release of fertilizer rakes. • Strengthen enforcement measures to prevent hoarding/ black-marketing/ smuggling/ diversion of subsidized fertilizers. • Promote balance fertilization.
