  2. Affirmative Familiar Commands: The first step to an affirmative command is to conjugate your verb for “yo” in present tense. Next, you drop the “o” off of the end. Lastly, you add the thirdperson ending for the verb on the end For –arverbs, add “a” For –er/ir verbs, add “e”

  3. In a simpler form, the affirmative command steps. 1. Conjugate for “yo”2. Drop “o”3. Add third person ending

  4. Here is an example of how you would tell someone to swim. Here is an example of how you would tell someone to swim. Drop the “o” -Nad So, this is how you say, “Swim!” “¡Nada!” Conjugate for yo -Nado Add third person ending -Nada Nadar Start with your verb -Nadar

  5. Lets try one for an er/ir verb now. “ Read the book.” “Lee el libro.” 2. Le 3. Lee Leer 1. Leo Here is how you would tell someone to read the book.

  7. Choose the correct affirmative command form of escribir. A. Escribo B. Escribe C. Escriben D. Escrabe --->

  9. “Eat the food.” ---> A. Come la comida. B. Coma la comida. C. Cama la comida. D. Came la comida.

  11. Now that you have that down, it’s time for negative familiar commands.

  12. You use almost the same steps as affirmative commands!
