  2. Biographical Information Joanne Kathleen (J.K.) Rowling was born in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol, England in the year of 1965. Soon J.K grew older and graduated from Exter University and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland while she taught English in Portugal. J.K. Married in October 1992 and had a baby girl (Jessica) in the year after (1993), soon she ended her marriage in and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was completed. After the book was done she married again to Dr. Neil Murray in 2001 and had a baby boy (David) born in 2003, a couple years after she had a another girl (Mackenzie) in 2005

Rowling book you can't stop reading

Smith Children's Book of the year for 2000 and in 2004. • She was awarded the W.H. Smith Fiction award in 2006. • J.K was winner of the Nibbies (Children's Book of the Year ) for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince • Most recently J.K received the 2008 British Book Award Lifetime Achievement award. • J.K was awarded an OBE for services to Children's literature in June 2000. • In 2003 she received Spain's prestigious Prince of Asturias for Concord. • In February 2009,she was inducted into France's prestigious Legion of Honor and given the honorary title of “knight” • J.K has honorary degrees from Harvard University, Dartmouth Collage, New Hampshire USA, University of Exter, University of St Andrews, Napier University of Edinburgh, and University of Edinburgh
