Goals of SVN Modeling/Analysis • Make the structure of SVN explicit (reflecting the actors’ needs satisfaction) • Understand social aspects of value generation • Support efficient coordination between the parties (inter- or intra-organizational scope? both?) • Optimization of individual value, often through optimization of overall value of parties involved in SVN • Understand effects of the evolution of the SVN: Understand implication of business change on  ICT layer and vice versa, involvement of new actors • Define business contract based on interactions • Identify potential for future value (= new services). Identify services to discontinue (= invaluable services). Identify services to protect against market forces.
