  2. Rajasthan Drought:2002 • Drought detected is the well documented Rajasthan drought. Drought loomed in all the 32 districts of Rajasthan with a deficit rainfall of 53.4% • Approximately 40 million people and 50 million cattle were affected. The water table went down, wells and handpumps went dry.
