Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Come See What The Lord Has Made
The World God Made A Complete World 1. Light, firmament, vegetation, Sun, Moon, Stars, fish and fowl, animals and man. 2. Genesis 1:1-31. 3. A world governed by law. A Reproductive World 1. The seed is within itself (Gen. 1:11-12; 20-21). 2. Everything produces after its own kind. 3. The Law of Sowing and Reaping (Gal. 6:7-8).
The People God Made A Dual Natured Man - Humans 1. Shares the image of God (Gen. 1:26-27). 2. Made from the dust (Gen. 2:7). A Free Man 1. God gave him commands (Gen. 1:28-29; 2:15-17). 2. God allowed him to choose (Gen. 3:6).
Implications of God’s World • The laws God made work – planets, sun, moon, stars. • Day and night will not cease (Gen. 8:22). • Danger is part of living on earth. • Floods, earthquakes, famines, storms can hurt. • Animals can hurt people (Gen. 9:5; Ex 21:28-29). • Accidents can hurt people (Luke 13:4).
Implications of Man’s Dual Nature • We are eternal beings (Matt. 10:28; 2 Cor. 5:16-18). • We have a mind and can reason (Gen. 2:15-17). • Humans only produce humans (Gen. 1:28-29; 4:1). • We will die (Gen. 3:19; 5:5; 8; 11; 14). • We will be judged (Jude 1:14-15; Heb 9:27).
Implications of Man’s Freedom • We can choose our own course of action (3:6). • We will be held accountable (3:7-12). • We can reject God (3:6). • We can hurt one another (4:8; 1 John 3:11-12). • There is no set plan for our lives (Ezekiel 18).
Finally God gave us a world that has all we need. God made us in His image. He made us free. We can learn, reason, think, consider and do. We can change if we want to do something else. We can hurt each other or we can help each other. There is no set plan for our lives. We can’t choose how, where to whom we are born. But we are not bound by circumstances.
