In this activity, students will review the Food Unit Study Guide by dividing into groups to cover different topics such as MyPlate, food vocabulary in Spanish, Hispanic countries, and different food guides. Each group will present their findings on poster paper to the class for a comprehensive quiz review. Engage with MyPlate sections, food vocabulary, Hispanic countries' culture and main dishes, and understandings of American, Latin American, and Mediterranean food guides.

Food Unit Quiz Review 8th Grade Exploratory Spanish
The Procedure Take out your Food Unit Study Guide We will split into 4 “Review Groups”– One for each section of the Study Guide Display the information for your “Review Group” on the poster paper. Present your poster paper to the class as a review for the quiz.
Group 1: My Plate (American) • Review the 5 sections of the MyPlate • What are they in Spanish? • Where are each located on the plate?
Group 2: Vocabulary How do we say some of these food vocabulary words in Spanish?
Group 3: Hispanic Country Expert Represent each of the six Hispanic countries from our discussion by describing both the culture and a main dish. List TWO culture facts in ENGLISH List name of dish AND at least two ingredients in SPANISH
Group 4: Battle of the Food Guides List important facts of understandings for each of the 3 food guides: American, Latin American, and Mediterranean Use your ThinkDot page.
