Status of Global Connectivity Europe • Dedicated 1Gbps circuits in place from: • Westerbork • Jodrell Bank • Cambridge • Medicina • Torun • Expected soon: • Yebes (Madrid) • Effelsberg?? • Ventspils?? • Onsala?? China • Shanghai achieved 512Mbps in UDP tests to JIVE: fringes at 256 Mbps Australia • Achieved 512Mbps to JIVE as part of the APAN demo Chile • Tigo hoping for 128Mbps to Europe by May 2008
Connectivity (continued) USA • Aricibo (64Mbps achieved) –future plans? Japan • Mizusawa VERA has achieved 300Mbps to EU –more? FABRIC • 4Gbps from London to Stockholm • Hoping for Jodrell-Onsala soon
