Interesting facts • Penicillin was discovered accidentally when Alexander Fleming’s bacteria culture plates grew mold, the area around the mold was clear…ohhhh • Hard salami, dry cured country ham, hard cheese and hard fruits and vegetables can still be eaten after removal of mold growth…ahhhh

  10. More interesting facts • Any medicine ending with “mycin” is made from mold • Mold is sometimes added to meat to preserve it, -mold keeps away bacteria
