What We Hear From Members • Payback on renewable system is short • They don’t cost that much • Simple installation process • No maintenance • Free money available from the government
Have a Plan forRenewable Energy Inquiries • Have at least one employee educated and dedicated to speaking with members on renewable energy basics • Have informational brochures or packets available • Know what area vendors and manufacturers are saying about renewable energy • Have an idea on state and federal incentive programs • Know your company’s official stance on renewable energy

Renewable Energy Seminar Wind and Solar • November 11, 2009 • 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm • Local elementary school (moved from office) • 183 people attended • 2 speakers • 17 employees • 164 guests (92 members plus spouses)
Renewable Energy Agenda • Educational seminar on small wind and solar energy systems • Understand members interest in renewable energy • Environmentalist • Tinkerer • Investor • Explain advantages and disadvantages of wind and solar in Southwestern Ohio along with the basic concepts of each • Review data from our solar project and wind turbine in Ohio • Discuss energy efficiency as an alternative investment • Geothermal program and loan program for energy efficiency projects such as: new heat pump, insulation, or new windows
