  3. Alignment partners for GWO GWO coordinate and work very closely with EWEA, G9, RUK, BZEE, AWEA, NZWEA and Crown Estate “Safety for the Wind Industry”

  4. Training standard GWO Basic Safety Training (version 5) includes: • First aid • Manual handling • Working at heights- Fire Awareness- Sea survival (add on) Courses can be taken individually based on needs. The GWO refresher training (version 2) also available “Safety for the Wind Industry”

Status & future GWO GWO has establish a more robust legal structure with a main office in Copenhagen – co-located with the Danish Wind Industry Association (DWIA) Currently a legal frame agreement is in place and a new legal statue structure in Denmark GWO Webpage under construction – DWIA will host until further. Training providers will be listed on a map system A hiring process for a GWO manager is in progress The legal frame agreement can potentially be expanded to include members outside WTG owners & manufactures RUK have now adapted the three last part of the GWO standard “one on one”. HSE UK has formally exempted Wind industry to follow the first aid at work requirement GWO will look at the following topics in the next phase: • Vessel transfer crew training – joined with G9 Offshore • Electrical safety training/wind turbine Safety Rules – joined with RUK • Mutual recognized medical certificate – joined with Siemens and RUK GWO Webpage link “Safety for the Wind Industry”
