  1. Graduation Requirements Class of 2014 • 120 Total Credits • 4-Pe/Health • 4-English • 3-Math (Algebra, Geometry, one other math) • 3- Science • 3-Social Studies • 1-Foreign Language • 1-Practical Art • 1-Fine/Performing Art • 1-Financial Literacy

  2. College Bound Students • Students planning on applying to four-year colleges should take a minimum of 16 courses at the college prep level or higher. Students planning on applying to selective colleges should take a fourth year of Math and a third year of Foreign Language to be competitive. The minimum 16 units must include the following areas: • 4 - English • 3 - Math • 3 - Lab Science • 3 - Social Studies • 2 - Foreign Language (SAME LANGUAGE) • 1- Elective • 16 CP units minimum • NCAA Clearinghouse: College bound Student Athletes should visit http://web1.ncaa.org/ECWR2/NCAA_EMS/NCAA.html for more info.

COIN COIN Career Library On The Web • To access the COIN Career Library follow these steps: • Go to www.coin3.com • Click on the green “GO” button in the first column (Login to COIN Career Library) • Enter Site ID as: LNJ14982 • Enter User Login as: ehths Activities Resume: • An organized list of a students extra curricular activities, school or community based. • It is important to be constantly updating the resume, as it will be used as a tool for teachers and counselors to write letters of recommendations for you. • Example resumes can be found using the COIN program or you can see your counselor with any questions.

SAT/ACT • SAT information can be obtained here: sat.collegeboard.org/register/sat-dates/ • ACT information can be obtained here: www.actstudent.org/ • Deadlines for registration are approximately one month prior to test date) • See your counselor if you are eligible for a fee waiver • ***BRING YOUR PICTURE IDENTIFICATION***

  5. Recommendations • Students should provide teachers with an envelope and postage. Neatly print or type the address of the school you are applying to on the envelope. • Please allow your teachers and counselors at least two weeks before deadlines to write a letter of recommendation.

  6. College & Career Information • College Visit: • Inform your counselor prior to the visit • Return with a note from the campus so the absence can be excused • College Representatives: • Representatives from colleges will visit EHT High School throughout the year. • Information on this can be obtained from the high school guidance web page. You may also tune in to your morning announcements for more information and dates. • Career Fairs: • We have several great career fairs/career speakers scheduled each school year. • Information on this can be obtained from the high school guidance web page. You may also tune in to your morning announcements for more information and dates.

  7. College Applications • Early Decision vs. Early Action • Deadlines: Admission/Rolling Admission • Common Application • Secondary Reports/Counselor Forms • Transcript Requests • Financial Hardship: Speak to your counselor about possible fee waivers.

  8. FAFSA • Free Application for Federal Student Aid. • Opportunity for students to receive grants or loans to pay for college • Application is online and completely free • http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ • Application available after January 1 • You will need the assistance of your parent or guardian to fill out the application

Atlantic Cape Jumpstart Program • If you are interested in attending Atlantic Cape Community College, ask your counselor about the Jumpstart Program. • Applications can be found in the guidance office (Due by Monday, December 2, 2013) • You will take placement tests and representatives from Atlantic Cape will come to EHTHS to help you schedule your classes for the next school year

  11. ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) • The Military uses students’ ASVAB scores to identify the occupations that best suit their abilities.
