CONCEPT The President’s Commission on Care for America’s Returning Wounded Warriors July 2007 Immediately create comprehensive patient-centered recovery plans for every seriously wounded service member, including those wounded since the beginning of the OEF/OIF conflicts who might still benefit from a recovery plan. Concept also endorsed by the Veterans’ Disability Benefits Commission, October 2007

Client Demographics FRCP Active Client Data as of May 1, 2014: • 849 active clients: • 271 (32%) are Active Duty; 578 (68%) are Veterans; • 49 percent Army; 29 percent Marines; 12 percent Navy; 8 percent Air Force; and <1 percent Coast Guard; • 86 percent Active Component and 14 percent National Guard, Reserve, or other; • 78 percent are assigned to a wounded warrior program. 9

FEDERAL INDIVIDUAL RECOVERY PLAN • Created by the assigned Federal Recovery Coordinator. • Input from the Service member or Veteran’s multidisciplinary health care team, the Service member or Veteran, and their family or caregiver. • Tracks care, management and transition of a recovering Service member or Veteran through recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
