  4. Federal Budget Issues Sequestration • http://www2.ed.gov/about/overview/budget/news.html • LEA allocations will vary • Sequestration impact on USDE may cause delays in budget projections

  5. ESEA Plan Revisions Expect strategic plan revisions Upon approval of the Flexibility Request: • Title I plans will be revised to reflect the elimination of School Improvement under NCLB • Title I, Title II, Title III and Title VI will be changed to address new Flexibility designations

  6. Committee of Practitioners The Committee of Practitioners will meet after we have approval of the Flexibility Request to provide consultation on: • ESEA Consolidated planning documents • ESEA Consolidated Monitoring Protocols • Review of Reward criteria

  7. Federal Program Meetings June Face-to-Face Meeting: • Plans • Budgets • 2013-2014 Monitoring Schedule

  8. 21st Century CommunityLearning Centers • Bidders Process for 2013-14 grantees -Webinar on March 20th at 9am • Providing after school services to Priority and/or Focus schools will be given bonus points in the bidding process

  9. World Languages • Embassy of Spain Agreement • Minimum of 5 teachers • Critical Shortage Areas • Title II Activities

  11. Concurrent Sessions 10:40 – 12:00 pm. Concurrent Session Round 2

  12. Concurrent Sessions 1:00 – 2:20 p.m. Concurrent Session Round 3

  13. Scheduled Meetings The meeting sessions are concluded at the end of the afternoon concurrent session. If you want to meet with your WVDE liaison, make sure that you schedule that with the individual coordinator.
