TPACK Framework Activity. Using the TPACK Framework students will identify: content, pedagogy, and technology in a real school activity. Students will complete the TPACK Framework at the beginning of class. Revisit the process at the end of class and revisit/revise their TPACK Framework.

TPACK Framework Activity • Content knowledge: Proportional Reasoning, Ratios, Rates, Equivalent Fractions, Scaling up/down 6.RP.1-3 • Pedagogy Knowledge: Students work individual/groups, hands on activities, inquiry • Technology Knowledge: www.ket.org/scalecity Students work on computers using interactive tools to develop proportional reasoning strategies based on situations/places in the state of KY. Virtual field trips/online resources/tools interactive discovery investigations.

  4. TPACK solution • Students will deepen their understanding of proportional reasoning by connecting content to real life places. Being able to physically manipulate objects to build ratios and proportions with computers will assist students in moving from the concrete to abstract phases of the content.
