XML Document Conversion • Identified MIL-STD 81927 as source format for Work Package documents • Identified MIL-STD 3001 DTD as target format • Identified 3rd party conversion software engine • Engaged 3rd party developers to create XML transformation and PDF XSLT software • Processed sample document NAVAIR 16-35T1250-2 into valid XML • Created PDF transform to demonstrate print capability

In Conclusion Our goal is to provide a dynamic, web-based combat system knowledge maintenance tool template that can: • Support combat systems real-time in remote/at sea locations • Provide up-to-date maintenance/repair information • Reduce equipment down-time with increased access to subject matter expertise • Reduce rework and recurring problems through global issue tracking/resolution • Be applied to any system – any service
