  2. When Was It Founded ? • Virginia Was Founded in 1607 , by Sir. Walter Raleigh .

  3. Who Founded It ? • It Is said to be believed that Sir Walter Raleigh got permission from Queen Elizabeth l , To establish the first colony Roanoke . • Roanoke became the lost city of Roanoke when the governor went back to England for supplies and returned to nothing but a skull, and a branch that had the words COATOAN. • No one knows what happened to the lost city of Roanoke but there are many theories to what may have happened. One theory is that they were attacked by a Native American tribe , half of them were killed and the others joined the tribe.

  4. Climate • They Had Very Humid And Hot Summers and Mid Winters .The climate in The summer helped Grow crops like Corn and tobacco .

  5. Religion In all of the Virginian colonies there was freedom of religion. Most people came there for that or a better life from the government of there country who told them who and who not to worship.

  6. Industries • Tobacco & Corn crops that they traded with different tribes and colonies. • Shoe and threads for them to have clothes and shoes while they were working in the fields.

  7. Interesting facts The death rate of the second colony who settled there ,was 70%. Pocahontas stop her father from killing the colony of Jamestown. Pocahontas lived in the colony of Jamestown and helped revive it.

The greatest out come of the colonies ? • Was the Jamestown colony who just barely survived the harsh winters and humid summers with food supplies running low, They seeked help from the Indian tribe leader Pohatian , who was going to kill john smith the leader of the Jamestown colony but his 10 year old daughter stopped him and they helped them crop things and build new homes.
