  3. “Don’t Claim Me, Bro!” • Too often, no claim is made. “I’m going to write about my weekend and how fun funfunfun it was”

  4. Face The Facts • Thesis statements should expand upon common facts. “Abercrombie & Fitch’s marketing targets teenagers” - Well duh

  5. YOU WON’T LIKE ME WHEN I’M ANGRY! • Personal conviction (or hardcore feelings) has no place In a thesis. - The ACT shouldn’t be allowed because I freakin’ hate it, man. Angry Cat has trouble keeping personal emotion out of his thesis statements.

  6. To Infinity, And Beyond! • Thesis statements can also be too broad. “The risk of drinking water outweigh the benefits.”

  7. How dare you question me! • Do not break our rules for thesis statements.

  8. “Advertising tries to get people to buy things”

  9. “The Twilight book series is fun to read.”

  10. “On this Power Point I’m going to show you how to improve your thesis statements.”
