  2. Introduction: For two weeks, MORE FM Canterbury have promoted the new Mitsubishi Electric HeatPumps from Beattie Air. Aims of the Promotion: MORE FM Canterbury’s aim of this promotion was to encourage our listeners to keep warm this winter with Mitsubishi Heat pumps from Beattie Air and let them know it is the most efficient way to stay warm. We wanted to do this in an entertaining manner on air and this is when the “ Celebrity Whisper” was dreamed up!

  3. Mechanic: For two weeks of promotion a live article ran on morefm.co.nz to create hype around the prize and detailed how our listeners could win a Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump with Beattie Air! It also had a link to the official Beattie Air website for more information. One week prior to the “ The Celebrity Whisper” MORE FM announcers teased the competition on air and credited Beattie Air for the fantastic prize. In week two of promotion, from Monday to Thursday, Si and Gary played the Celebrity Whisper. Celebrities like Josh Kronfeld, Andy Ellis and Steve Gurney whispered the line “it’s very very quiet” and then the boys invited listeners to guess who the famous New Zealander was. If guessed correctly, they got in the draw to win the Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump from Beattie Air. On Friday morning, Si and Gary called a lucky winner live on air and congratulated them on winning the Mitsubishi Electric Heat pump and installation valued at $3699! They captured her excitement live on air for our MORE FM audience.

  5. Overview: The Celebrity Whisper proved to be a very popular competition with our listeners. It was the perfect time of year to giveaway and promote the Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pumps range. The competition was entertaining for our audience. There was great synergy between the prize and the competition. It proved very difficult for our listeners to decipher who was the Celebrity Whisper on some occasions, further adding to the entertainment value of the promotion. The lady who won on the Friday draw was so excited to have a brand new Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump! She was thrilled with the prize and her reaction live on air conveyed that. MORE FM Canterbury were thrilled at with the Celebrity Whisper promotion, and sincerely thank Beattie Air for providing the wonderful prize.
