Drivers Educationelective • Driver’s Ed Program consists of classroom and behind the wheel. • This is an non-credit course, pass/fail, semester grade only. • Failure in the classroom results in failure of both classroom & behind the wheel. • State of Illinois requires students to complete 30 hours of classroom, 12 hrs of simulation, & 4 hrs of behind the wheel. • A student must pass a vision exam & rules of the road test in order to qualify for a Learner’s permit at the beginning of the course. • A student must be at least a 1st semester sophomore (10 credits) earned in the previous two semesters. • Must be 15 years/8 months of age. • Birthdate requirement- See your counselor!

Late Arrival or Early Dismissal • JUNIORS AND SENIORS ONLY!!!!!!! • Students MUST HAVE at LEAST 20 CREDITS • Students CAN NOT sign up for Late Arrival or Early Dismissal • Student must already have a study hall 1st or 8th hour on their schedule. • Schedules are generated by the computer.
