Alternative and proposed Solutions • Clearly at least 2 alternative solutions (including the you are proposing) • Rationale behind your proposed solution • How would the proposed solution address the problem • Be Specific, in terms of dollar save, System efficiency • How is your proposed solution better than alternative solutions
Scope • Identify the boundary conditions and scope of the system • Remember you are not solving world territories, Hunger or Cancer. • Be specific as to what your solution will do. • This is important as clients will have unrealistic expectations.
Budget and Schedule • Schedule will follow a task break down of the entire project. • You can use excel or MS project for the schedule. • Budget will include the following: • Capital budget computers, software etc • Labor Programming and consulting charges
Project Organization • Organizational Chart • Identify the project manager, programmers, System Architect, Technical writers clearly. • One person can have multiple responsibilities • Responsibilities Matrix Next Slide.

DFD and ERDS • Identify the context diagram of your proposed solution • Show the level 0 expansion • Show the ERD of the proposed system • Create tables • Normalize the tables to 3NF.
