Combo Edits • Overview/Purpose • In order to meet the Systemwide need for consistent and accurate corporate data, Combo Edits were developed to validate transactional processing in PS. • Combo Edits are rules designed to comply with the UCM and the CSU reporting standards established by FSAC. • Rules are built based on tree nodes or detail values from fund and account attributes. • Edits are commonly referred to as FIRMS or Legal Edits. • CSU Operating Fund requires new Edits • New Fund Processing Types added for CSU Operating Fund

FIRMS Edits • Existing FIRMS edits have been modified by CO. If additional modifications are necessary contact Sedong. • Examples: • 690004 used only for transfers between 001 different appropriation years. Not allowed for transfers between 001 and 485 • 690003 used for transfers between 001 and 498 with program code 0903 for appropriation years 05 and earlier. In 06 used for transfers between 001 and 485 with program code 1304. • 690003 will be replaced with new object code when 001 appropriation year 06 is deallocated.
