  1. Chocolate Chip Cookies Dry Measuring Lab

  2. Ingredients • ? Sugar • ? Butter • ? Egg • ? Vanilla • ? Flour • ? Brown sugar • ? Salt • ? Baking soda • ? Baking powder • ? Chocolate chips

Scavenger Hunt • Decide who in your group is number 1,2,3 and 4 • Carefully follow the directions on your own instruction sheet. • You will all be measuring a portion of the flour and brown sugar so don’t think that you don’t need to measure something because someone else already got some. • If you plan ahead, you will figure out the total for each ingredient and then double check before throwing it all together. • Follow the directions on your instruction sheet and on the next slide!!!   4. Directions • Cream sugar and butter together • Add egg and vanilla. Mix • Add all the rest of the ingredients except chocolate chips. Mix for 1 minute • Add chocolate chips. Stir • Put aluminum foil on your cookie sheet • Place cookie dough by rounded teaspoons on cookie sheet. Cook one batch at a time. • Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. • Cool for 5-10 min. • Enjoy!

  5. While your food is cooking • Write the quantities for your ingredient list. • Clean your kitchen and wash all dishes!!! • Get out plates and utensils, prepare to eat at your table with your group members.

  6. Ingredients • ½ cup Sugar • ¼ cup Butter • 1 Egg • 1 tsp Vanilla • 1 cup Flour • ½ cup Brown sugar • ¼ tsp Salt • ½ tsp Baking soda • ½ tsp Baking powder • 1 cup Chocolate chips

  7. When you are done eating • Put leftover food you want to take into sandwich baggies • Wash the dishes you ate off of and the cookie sheet and spatula. • Wash counters and all appliances used, including inside of microwave. • Wash tables • Sweep floor, brooms are next to the fridge • Put dirty aprons, towels, and rags in the dirty laundry basket next to the washing machine.
