Bullet Points • At least 3 bullet points per slide • No more than 6 bullet points per slide • No more than 8 words per bullet • Use phrases, not whole sentences • Use custom animation (one bullet appearing at a time)
Custom Animation • What is Custom Animation? • your bullet points appear when you decide • your images appear only when you decide • Appearance usually decided by mouse click • Class requirements for most slide shows • All bullet points must have custom animation • All custom animation restricted to Appear
Custom Animation :Appear • Your bullet points must Appear like this: • Your first bullet point • Your second bullet point • Not like this… (It will lose you points!) • No bouncing • No flying in • No center revolving • No swiveling • No typewriting

Font Color and Background • Use good contrast between slide and background color This doesn’t work well—hard on eyes This works better This doesn’t work either This is better THIS DOESN’T WORK This works!
Graphics (images) • Keep your audience interested • Use at least one image per slide • To steal correctly from the web: • Right-click on the image • Click Save Picture As… • Saves to your My Pictures folder • In PowerPoint, click Insert / Picture
